Hi! I'm Kendra.

What's probably the most important thing to say, because there's so much to stay. Let me start by saying that I have lived a crazy, adventurous, and magical life. Born in a small town in Idaho, I converted to Mormonism at 16, lived it to the fullest, left at 29, ran off to NYC at 32, Bali at 33, Scotland, England, Italy, and more. Now I'm back in the Banana Belt of Idaho singing and performing music about rebellion, revolution, and religion all while being a little risqué.

I am a rebel for love!

Probably because love has come so hard for me. Maybe you can relate! Parents who were supposedly (very tangibly so) loving, but not emotionally mature. Religious trauma that compounded up through several strings of cults.. Emotionally abusive relationships... can I just date women now? I'm also AuDHD... Neurospicy of my own variety with lots of CPTSD sprinkles. Plenty I gave myself. I'm not special. I've had to fight my way through, shaking every step of the way to realize it's okay to live my life the way I want to. At 31, I knew what I wanted my life to look like, I felt like I had to justify it though. Six years spent trying to justify it only to realize you can't justify loving and transparent in a capitalist hellscape. So, I embrace being crazy.

Listen to my latest release, Little Bird. Funny story! I was singing opera in Bali at 2 in the afternoon. I'd been practicing for a while because it felt GOOD! My neighbor across the river yelled, "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!" I felt my voice contract. All those little child feelings of being shut down came up. I wrote two songs, both bird songs.
Little Bird grew wings and now it's my signature. Enjoy!
