Kendra teaches vocal technique for healthy phonation and vocal flexibility. She strives to help you find your voice using methods she gained through a lifelong study of the voice, experience as a professional music educator trained in Orff Schulwerk, performing as an opera singer in NYC, and exploring different vocal modalities in Bali, Indonesia. She has a holistic and playful approach that works for all vocal styles and ages.

Performances

Kendra performs an array of vocal and performance styles. Along with her original singer-songwriter music, she performs burlesque, comedy, and classical music.

She's worked with UK's Jenny Bliss, New York's Nathan Felix, and she now performs with many venues and organizations in the Idaho Treasure Valley.

Hi! I'm Kendra.

What's probably the most important thing to say, because there's so much to stay. Let me start by saying that I have lived a crazy, adventurous, and magical life. Born in a small town in Idaho, I converted to Mormonism at 16, lived it to the fullest, left at 29, ran off to NYC at 32, Bali at 33, Scotland, England, Italy, and more. Now I'm back in the Banana Belt of Idaho singing and performing music about rebellion, revolution, and religion all while being a little risqué.

I am a rebel for love!

I think it is so very important to be who we are! And that the warts are only warts because someone else said so... that didn't work on us as children, and it definitely should cause us to thoroughly examine as adults.

I identify as queer... gender, neuro, and sexually. I love a good play on word, and value wit and excellence when mixed like your favorite cocktail to perfection! 

At 31, I knew what I wanted my life to look like, I felt like I had to justify it though. Six years spent trying to justify it only to realize you can't justify being loving and transparent in a capitalist hellscape. So, I embrace that I am an insanely provocative rebel.
